Mark received the DHL Award For Fastest Lap 2011 today here in Brazil.
He won the award (even with Sunday's race still to play for) at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix two weeks ago. He set the fastest lap time of 1:42.612 with just 4 laps remaining in the race at the Yas Marina Circuit which gave him an unmatchable lead of six fastest laps this year, compared to just three of his nearest rivals, Lewis Hamilton and our own Sebastian Vettel.
On receiving his award, Mark said, "I've done some reasonable laps in Grand Prix this year and I've got more than anyone else, that's not too bad". Not bad at all Sir.
He received the award in a ceremony at the front of our garage in Interlagos, with Joakim Thrane, DHL's Express Brazil Country Manager and TV presenter and former F1 driver Christian Danner presenting the Aussie with his trophy.
