Jaime Alguersuari completed 20 laps of the short Interlagos track in this morning’s final free practice session, posting the thirteenth fastest time.
During the hour, the engineering team on his car experimented with various aero and mechanical settings and generally the Spaniard was satisfied with his morning’s work. That was not the case for Sébastien Buemi, who with just three laps to his name, felt something strange in the car, bringing into the pits. It spent the rest of the hour their as the team investigated what appears to be a hydraulic problem. All should be sorted and ready to go for this afternoon’s very last 2011 qualifying session. Sebastian Vettel was quickest for Red Bull, followed by Jenson Button the McLaren and then came their respective team-mates, Mark Webber and Lewis Hamilton with Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso and Force India’s Adrian Sutil completing the top six.
