THE HOBBY HUT PUPPET TROUPE
November 6/ November 13, 2010
At the Rachamankha, Chiang Mai
The Hobby Hut Puppet Troupe
A unique performance art at a hotel unique in the world this November
The Hobby Hut Puppet Troupe celebrate their recent success at the 2nd International Marionette Festival in Hanoi, Vietnam with a performance of ‘Suwanna Hoi Sang’ at the Rachamankha, Chiang Mai — the only Relais and Chateaux member property in northern Thailand.
There will be two public performances at Rachamankha on 6 November and 13 November 2010.
The award winning Hobby Hut Puppet Troupe was founded 12 years ago by Ms Wilawan Sawetseranee, a lecturer in Chiang Mai University's Faculty of Fine Arts. Her admirable aim is to give students access to puppets in the hope that they become interested and perhaps go on to learn something about Thai puppetry and in this way preserve the art for future generations to enjoy.
Tickets for the performances on the 6 and the 13 November are available for purchase now. The tickets are priced at 980THB and include free flow wine Lone Kauri Merlot, Lone Kauri Riesling and canapés from 5pm with the performance commencing at 6pm.
