Hulkenberg linked to Merc tester role

Nico Hulkenberg could join Merc GP as their third drive after his manager revealed he doesn't want the German racing for a backmarker.
Hulkenberg was left without a 2011 race-seat when Williams opted not to renew his contract despite a marked improvement in form in the latter half of his debut season.
The German scored 12 of his 22 World Championship points in the final six races of the campaign, including securing pole position at the Brazilian GP. But it was not enough to secure his Williams future.
Hulkenberg, though, is not giving up on F1 with reports in the German media linking him to a test driver role with Mercedes GP after his manager Willi Weber told Auto Motor und Sport that he would rather Hulkenberg be the "third man in a top team than the first man in a backmarker (outfit)."
