RB7 will be an evolution of the 2010 car
The RB7 will be an evolution of the 2010 car according to Red Bull's chief designer Adrian Newey, rather than a completely new design.
The outfit adopted a similar approach to the current season by focusing on improving the race winning RB5 over the winter season, which proved a successful decision as the outfit finished with the quickest car and two world championships.
"It is a further evolution of the current chassis," Newey told Laola1.
"The DNA of the car is the same. The RB6 was basically an evolution of the last car; one car basically turned into the next."
When asked if the Milton Keynes based outfits rivals will spend the season complaining about the legality of the car, Newey replied: "I hope so! Because that would mean we have done a good job again. If you're out the front in F1, everyone always thinks you are cheating."
