Williams to celebrate Maldonado signing with Venezuela run
Williams have announced they will run their 2010 FW32 in Venezuela next week. The demonstration, which will be held on January 14, is being staged to mark Venezuelan-born Pastor Maldonado’s recent confirmation as a Williams race driver for the forthcoming 2011 season.
“I’m so happy the team are coming to Venezuela,” said Maldonado. “To be given the opportunity of driving a Formula One car in front of my fellow countrymen is going to be something very special. We will definitely put on a good show for everyone who attends. This feels like giving something back to the people who have supported my career and put their faith in me over the years.”

The event will be held just outside of the capital city of Caracas, around one of Venezuela’s most renowned national monuments, Los Proceres, in front of an anticipated capacity crowd. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is expected to attend the show.
