Geneva 2011: Hyundai i40 first images

Hyundai has released the first official images of the Hyundai i40 model, presented at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show 2011, which in Europe will come to battle with the Volkswagen Passat and Opel Insignia. So far, the sw version.


The Hyundai i40 CW and Hyundai i40 sedan will appear in world premiere at Geneva 2011 and will fight for the middle segment with Volkswagen Passat, Opel Insignia, Citroen C5 or the new Peugeot 508.

Hyundai presented until today only a series of realistic drawings with its new i40 model, the next gallery brought the first real images with the new South Korean model. Hyundai i40 shocked at the design through a series of fluid lines very different from those of the old Sonata and take part aesthetic idea first promoted by Hyundai ix35 compact SUV.





According to preliminary information, the new Hyundai i40 will be available at the launch with four engines, two petrol (1.6 GDI with 135 hp and 2.0 GDI with 177 hp) and two diesel (1.7 liter 115 hp / 260 Nm and 1.7 liter 136 hp / 325 Nm ). The two powerful diesel versions and gasoline may be linked both to the standard six-speed manual gearbox, as well as an automatic with six reports. Very interesting is the fact that Hyundai will be able to boast an engine with the lowest CO2 emissions in its class, diesel version of 115 hp fitted with a Stop & Start managing to lower the bar to 113 g/km and up to an average joint consumption of 4.3 litres/100 km.
