Robb Report consecrates Ferrari 458 Italia Car of the Year 2011
Maranello, 16 February - The prestigious U.S. magazine Robb Report, the undisputed authority in the world of luxury, reveals in its March edition – out in the coming days – that the Ferrari 458 Italia gained the title "Car of the Year 2011", voted for by the magazine’s editorial team, together with a jury of automotive experts and a group of lucky readers, who tested the car on the roads of Napa Valley, California.
This is an important award, joining the substantial list of decorations for the Berlinetta from Maranello, described as the “shocking demonstration of just how much improvement can be brought to an already near-perfect sports car like the Ferrari V8”. Robb Report dedicated a wide coverage to the 458 Italia, presenting its readers the car from Maranello, now lifting it to the top position as the best sports and luxury car in the world, for its “superb style, extreme accuracy in every detail and the exceptional performance, which turned Ferrari into a legend”. The 458 Italia outdistanced 13 luxury and sports cars on the list in the only category considered by the U.S American magazine. Not only for its technical aspects such as the engine’s performance, but also for the fast gear change, the steering’s precision and above all for the unique emotions only a Ferrari can deliver as well as the incomparable engine sound and the interior’s leather: "a masterpiece", embracing the best of Italian culture from Renaissance until today.

Maranello, 16 febbraio - La prestigiosa rivista Americana Robb Report, autorità indiscussa in tema di lusso, rivela sul numero di marzo - in edicola nei prossimi giorni – che la Ferrari 458 Italia si è aggiudicata il titolo di "Car of the Year 2011", a giudizio della redazione della rivista a cui si è affiancata una giuria di esperti automotive e un gruppo di fortunati lettori, che l’hanno testata sulle strada californiane di Napa Valley.
Un premio importante, che si aggiunge al ricco palmares della berlinetta di Maranello, definita come “la sorprendente dimostrazione di quanto può essere fatto su un'archetipo di vettura già praticamente perfetto come l'8 cilindri posteriore-centrale Ferrari.” Robb Report aveva dedicato un'ampia copertura alla 458 Italia nel presentarla ai lettori e ora la mette in cima al podio come la miglior vettura sportiva e di lusso al mondo per “lo stile superbo, l'estrema accuratezza nei dettagli e le prestazioni eccezionali che hanno trasformato la Ferrari in leggenda”. La 458 Italia sbaraglia le 13 vetture in lizza, nell’unica categoria presa in considerazione dal magazine americano, non solo per aspetti tecnici come la potenza del propulsore, la rapidità della cambiata e la precisione dello sterzo, ma soprattutto per l'unicità delle emozioni che solo una Ferrari è in grado di offrire, a cominciare dall'inimitabile sound del motore fino al profumo con cui la pelle degli interni accoglie gli occupanti: "un capolavoro" che riassume il meglio della cultura italiana dal rinascimento ad oggi.
