Miss Wilaiwan Nadvilai, the spokesperson for Suvarnabhumi Airport,Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), disclosed that AirportCouncil International (ACI) revealed the Airport Service Quality (ASQ)2010 rankings on 15th February 2011, whereby Suvarnabhumi Airport isranked 5th among airports with annual passenger-traffic of over 40million. The survey questionnaires were filled in by more than 260,000passengers from more than 154 participating airports. There are a total of13 airports in the over 40 million passenger-traffic category; with thetop-4 being Hong Kong, Beijing, Dubai and Dallas Fort Worth, respectively.Suvarnabhumi Airport was ranked 6th in 2009, but it was entered in the25-40 million passenger-traffic size category. The Airport moved up to theover 40 million passenger category in 2010, due to the increase in thenumber of passengers, to 42.7 million overall.
Miss Wilaiwan explained, Suvarnabhumi Airport has joined the ASQprogram since June 2007 and the survey is conducted annually. The rankingcategories are by regional (Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, LatinAmerica-Caribbean, Middle East, and North America) and bypassenger-traffic size (under 5 million, 5-15 million, 15-25 million,24-40 million, and over 40 million).
