Google invites you to 'map your Valentine'

With "Map My Valentine," users can send an electronic card featuring an image from Google Street View or Maps.
(CNN) -- So, at this point, the only Valentine's Day cards left on the shelves are going to have dirty jokes or Garfield on them.
But fear not, oh procrastinating one. Google has a way for you to send a last-minute e-card with a personal touch.
"Map My Valentine" lets users include a heart-shaped image of any place that's viewable with Google Maps on an electronic Valentine's Day card.
"Location can be a powerful trigger of memories -- from the Italian place in San Francisco where you went on your first date to the cabin you rented at Lake Tahoe with your roommates," wrote Aaron Weissman, a member of the Google Maps team, on Google's official blog.
The user can include an image from either Google Maps or Google Street View.
Of course, if you use Street View, you'll more than likely just get an external view of a location. So if it's a particular building -- say, the aforementioned cabin -- you'll be in good shape. But something like a park will give you only an image of the entrance.
Oh, yeah, and you might want to make sure the image didn't capture any naked folks running around your special spot, like a Street View shot from Taiwan apparently did last year.
