Micro makes it big

French designer, choreographer and

performer Pierre Rigal is back in Bangkok with his latest show, Micro, to be staged as part of French cultural festival La Fete on February 24 and 25, starting at 8pm. The venue is Patravadi Theatre.

A combination of theatre, music and dance, Micro promises to be a ''total entertainment''. It ''apprehends all the poetry of a rock concert'' and, through the physicality of the performers _ Pierre Rigal and the Moon Pallas rock band _ the music can be seen as well as heard.

It reaches out through the entire span of music, from the frontiers of rock to punk, pop, opera, choir and electro-acoustic music.

The instruments are constantly on the move, like strange creatures; the musicians undergo a metamorphosis and become dancers, struggling at close quarters with their instruments. The rock musicians appear at times like stage animals taming their machines.
