The BMW premieres at Frankfurt Motor Show

BMW will present at the Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (also known as the Frankfurt Motor Show or Frankfurt Auto Show) four world premieres. We will get acquainted with the future BMW M5, with a BMW M3 GTS sedan derivative, the new BMW 1 Series and with the new BMW i3 electric.

Although there are three months until the Frankfurt Motor Show, BMW is already preparing surprises for this year edition. According to information published in the German press, the Bavarian manufacturer intends to display at its stand four premieres, including two signed by its performance division M.

The first debutant is no longer a mystery to anyone, being already anticipated by a concept close to production last month. It’s the new generation BMW M5, ready to take over the assault on the main rival, Mercedes E63 AMG.

Together with the Bavarian exponent of the E-Klasse, Motorsport Division will place a GTS variant for the M3 sedan. Like BMW GTS M3 coupe, the four-door model will benefit from a 4.4-liter V8 petrol engine capable of delivering a total of 450 horsepower. The only changes would occur at the level of suspension and braking system.

Will not miss nor the new generation BMW 1 Series, characterized by a total revision of the general style, slightly larger in size and with a much better interior than the current model.

Last but not least, at Frankfurt Motor Show the audience will get acquainted with the first electric model of the sub-brand “i“, ie the highly anticipated BMW i3. The zero emissions model will be powered by a 150 horsepower electric motor, which will allow it to reach a maximum speed of 160 km/ h. Even so, the battery capacity will provide a range of approximately 260 kilometer.
