GP2 – A Saturday to forget for Bianchi

Valencia, 25 June – Jules Bianchi’s Saturday race in Valencia ended at the first corner as he tackled the fourth round of the GP2 Series. Having started from ninth on the grid, the young Frenchman cut the line too tightly in his Lotus ART car at the first right hander, ending up driving into the Sport International car of Marcus Ericsson. It was a heavy impact which ended the race for both men. Romain Grosjean ran out the winner for Dams, ahead of Giedo Van der Garde (Barwa Addax Team) and Davide Valsecchi (Caterham Team Air Asia.)

Bianchi and the other runners in the series will be back in action tomorrow at 10.35 for the second race of the weekend.
