The team started its preparations for the European Grand Prix in Valencia today with the first practice session taking place on a very dusty track.
Nico completed 22 laps with a fastest time of 1.42.043 and finished the session in ninth position. Michael completed 26 laps, finishing in eleventh place, with a fastest lap of 1.42.270. The team focused on accumulating data and an initial evaluation of the new medium compound tyres from Pirelli.
Despite overcast skies, the weather was warm, with air temperature averaging around 26C and track temperatures up to 34C.
