Perez cleared to race in Canada

Sauber driver Sergio Perez has been declared fit to race at this weekend's Canadian round, following his high-speed accident in Monaco last month.

Perez spent two nights in hospital, suffering from concussion and a bruised thigh, after crashing during the latter stages of Monte Carlo qualifying. But after passing an FIA medical test in Montreal on Thursday, he has been given the green light to return to the cockpit of his Sauber.

The Mexican resumes his 2011 campaign lying 15th in the standings on two points, 17 behind team mate Kamui Kobayashi.
