Tuesday 19th July 2011
Hispania Racing could have yet another driver change before the season is over with Javier Villa being linked to Tonio Liuzzi's seat.
Villa, who currently competing in the World Touring Car Championship, is being linked to future in Formula One with Hispania Racing.
The team's new majority shareholder, Thesan Capital, are reportedly keen to sign Villa, as the Spanish investment group reckon he is the 'right man' around which to build a Spanish team.
"Yes, it's all true," Villa told Italiaracing.net when asked about the rumours.
"I have a good chance of making my Formula 1 debut with Hispania."
The report added that Thesan Capital want Villa behind the wheel in Friday practices in order to get him up to speed before putting him in Liuzzi's race-seat at the season finale in Brazil.
Hispania have already altered their driver line-up once this season with Australia's Daniel Ricciardo replacing Narain Karthikeyan at the British GP onwards.
