Opel presented the new generation of the Combo. This is based on the Fiat Doblo and is offered in two body styles, two wheelbases and two heights of the vehicle.

Following the partnership between Opel and Fiat, the Germans presented the new generation of the Combo. This is based on Fiat Doblo and will debut in February 2012.

2012 Opel Combo is offered in versions with two, five or seven seats and can be either a passenger car or a panel van (van). If the customers opt for the second version, they can choose between two types of wheelbases and two heights of the vehicle to carry as much cargo. Opel Combo has a load volume of up to 4,600 liters and a payload of up to one ton.

While Opel Combo van versions can be ordered optionally with one or two sliding doors, passenger car version has two sliding doors and tailgate as standard. Also are available double doors, asymmetric, as were offered in the previous generation of Fiat Doblo. For some configurations of the panel van, Opel offers an additional trap in the back, designed to transport very high objects.

All engines on Opel Combo can be ordered with a Start/Stop system, designed to reduce fuel consumption in urban areas. Petrol engines and the 1.3 CDTI diesel are equipped with a manual transmission with five speeds, while the more powerful CDTI units are equipped with a manual transmission with six gears.

Short wheelbase version has a load volume of up to 3,800 liters, while the long wheelbase version has a volume of up to 4,600 liters. Load threshold has 54.4 centimeters in height and width of the sliding door open has the best value in the segment. In standard, Opel Combo comes with central locking, power steering, adjustable steering column height and depth, electric windows, four-way adjustable driver’s seat and driver airbag. Besides this, the ABS is standard, along with a repair kit for flat tires.
