(Reuters) - Team by team analysis of Sunday's Formula One Grand Prix (listed in championship order):

-

RED BULL (Sebastian Vettel 2, Mark Webber 3)

Webber started on pole but was beaten into the first corner by Vettel and has yet to lead a lap this season. Vettel lost out on his seventh win in nine races after a rear jack failure delayed him on his second stop. He still notched up his 11th podium in a row and has an 80 point lead over Webber. The champion has only dropped 21 points from a maximum 225. Webber tried to pass in the closing laps, despite team orders not to.

-

MCLAREN (Lewis Hamilton 4, Jenson Button retired)

Hamilton went from 10th on the grid to fourth and might have been on the podium had he not been ordered to save fuel 10 laps from the end. Button retired 12 laps from the finish after a pitstop blunder released him from the box with the front right wheel loose.

-

FERRARI (Fernando Alonso 1, Felipe Massa 5)

Alonso marked the 60th anniversary of Ferrari's first championship win at Silverstone with the team's first victory of the season and 216th since 1951. The Spaniard has now tied with Jackie Stewart on 27 career wins. Massa battled Hamilton for fourth place with the two crunching at the final corner in a thrilling finale.

-

MERCEDES (Nico Rosberg 6, Michael Schumacher 9)

Mercedes went fourth in the standings. Rosberg ran a two-stop strategy. Schumacher's race was compromised by a collision with Kobayashi on lap nine while in ninth place. He had to pit for a new front wing and then a stop/go penalty on lap 16.

-

RENAULT (Nick Heidfeld 8, Vitaly Petrov 12)

Heidfeld started 16th, Petrov 14th after the team's worst qualifying of the season. The drivers struggled on the intermediate tyres.

-

SAUBER (Sergio Perez 7, Kamui Kobayashi retired)

Perez celebrated his best result so far in F1, coming from 12th on the grid. Kobayashi was hit by Schumacher, damaging his car, and then was released from a pitstop into the path of Maldonado, earning a stop/go penalty and a 20,000 euro fine for the team. He stopped due to an oil leak in Sauber's first retirement of the year for technical reasons.

-

TORO ROSSO (Jaime Alguersuari 10, Sebastien Buemi retired)

Alguersuari scored points for his third race in a row, the team's fourth successive race. Buemi's race ended after a collision with Di Resta, destroying his left rear tyre.

-

FORCE INDIA (Adrian Sutil 11, Paul Di Resta 15)

No points after a promising qualifying. Di Resta had started his first British GP in sixth place. The Scot also lost out to a pitstop error with the team expecting Sutil, who had reported a puncture, and sent scrambling for the right tyres. That cost him about 25 seconds.

-

WILLIAMS (Rubens Barrichello 13, Pastor Maldonado 14)

The team lacked speed on the intermediate tyre and lost time in the opening laps. Maldonado damaged his front wing in the collision with Kobayashi.

-

TEAM LOTUS (Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen retired)

Trulli was told to stop due to an engine oil leak. The team said Kovalainen retired with a gearbox issue caused by a possible electrical problem.

-

HRT (Vitantonio Liuzzi 18, Daniel Ricciardo 19)

Ricciardo finished his first grand prix after struggling with his rear tyres towards the end. He had no dramas.

-

VIRGIN RACING (Timo Glock 16, Jerome D'Ambrosio 17)

The team's sixth double finish of the season.
