AND THE WINNING HELMET IS…
21/07/2011
With over 1,500 entries submitted, Nick and his long-serving helmet designer Jens Munser have chosen the helmet that will be will be worn by the LRGP driver at the Nurburgring this weekend.
The winning helmet was designed by Kamila Mazur from Poland and, with so many impressive designs to choose from, it was not an easy choice for Nick.
“This time the decision was not as easy as in 2009. There were a lot of interesting, ingenious and above all different designs, so it took quite a while to pick the Top 10 and then choose the outright winner”, he said.
“I only made my final decision after seeing it again; it was the overall look that mattered most to me”.
For Kamila, it was a great honour to have her entry chosen by Nick.
“I’m just happy that Nick liked my design so much that he picked it as his winner”, she said.
The competition has all been for a good cause, with German Broadcaster RTL to auction it off as part of the Wir helfen Kindern telethon this weekend.
