Jenson Button – 200 Formula 1 races... and counting!

This weekend in Hungary, Jenson Button will start his 200th Formula 1 race. Time has flown since he burst onto the grid in 2000, but we’re looking forward to celebrating what is a big milestone in his career.

He’s driven 28 grands prix for Vodafone McLaren Mercedes, winning three of them, and we hope he’ll go on to compete for us for many a year to come. The highlights of his time with the team so far have been his race wins – the 2010 Australian and Chinese Grands Prix, as well as his brilliant victory in Canada this year.

We’ll be hosting a reception in our Brand Centre at the Hungaroring to mark the big occasion on Saturday afternoon, at which team principal Martin Whitmarsh and Sir Frank Williams, the man who brought Jenson into Formula 1, will kick off the celebrations. Jenson will then share his thoughts on his journey in the sport so far.

We’d like to say thank you and congratulations to Jenson for his fantastic contribution to our team. Enjoy your 200th race (and counting)!
