Singapore GP - A delayed start on the streets of Singapore

Singapore, 23 September – Lewis Hamilton was fastest around the Marina Bay circuit, which hosts the fourteenth round of the Formula 1 World Championship. The session was cut to 60 minutes after the kerbs at two corners had to be repaired. The McLaren driver lapped in 1.48.599) followed by the two Red Bulls of Sebastian Vettel (1.49.005) and Mark Webber (1.50.066.) The two 150º Italias of Fernando Alonso (1.50.595) and Felipe Massa (1.52.043) ended the session fourth and sixth respectively. The sun was setting at the start of the session before the 1600 floodlights came into play. The Spanish Ferrari man has a special gold livery on his helmet here, the same he used in Monaco. Because the session was shorter than usual, this affected the work programme which focussed on evaluating some updates and which ended with some practice starts. The next session gets underway at 21.30.
