Ferrari Challenge North America – Next stop, the Finali Mondiali

Maranello, 26 September – Sunday saw the sixth round of the North American Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli come to an end. Fifteen 458 Challenge cars were entered, alongside eight F430 Challenge, for one race run with separate classifications. Emerging victorious at the end of the second race of the weekend in the 458 group was the 2011 champion, Enzo Potolicchio entered by Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale. He took the flag ahead of Ferrari of Houston’s Mark McKenzie and the Ferrari of Silicon Valley driver Harry Cheung. Winner among the gentleman drivers racing the F430 was Christopher Ruud of Ferrari of Silicon Valley, making a clean sweep of the weekend, having already taken the top slot in Race 1. Second and third were Guy LeClerc of Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale and the Ferrari of Ontario driver, Damon Ockey. Now the competitors in the Stars and Stripes edition of the one-make series have the Ferrari Finali Mondiali to look forward to, at the Mugello circuit over the weekend of 6 November.
