iWitness in Singapore: Saturday

Rubens Barrichello was one of six drivers standing outside race control after qualifying, but none of them was there to see the stewards. They all had to deliver urine samples as part of the FIA’s drug testing programme, which was easier said than done. Having sweated buckets in the car, none of them needed to go!
Look out for Pastor Maldonado’s new helmet this weekend. The colours are fundamentally the same as before, but it now includes what he calls a ‘Pastorcito’, a mini Pastor. Think along the lines of ‘Senninha’, Ayrton Senna’s cartoon character, and you’ll get the idea. “I’ll have it until the end of the season,” says Pastor.
While on the subject of Pastor, you can check out his recent trip home to Venezuela with the BBC by clicking on the following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLEjb7_rUH0. To say he’s proud of his country is an understatement!
Guests in the AT&T Williams Paddock Club were given a surprise this afternoon when Luciano Pavarotti and Marilyn Monroe walked in. Pavarotti even started to sing Nessun Dorma while serving food, before trying to charge people three tenors (geddit?!). Who’ll be paying a visit tomorrow?
