2012 Volkswagen Eos.
Introduced on Wednesday: 2012 Volkswagen Eos
What is it? The hardtop convertible gets a full-body massage, including a new grille and headlights, and an interior trim redo and instrument panel upgrade.
What makes it tick? It retains the turbocharged and intercooled 2-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine that makes 200 horsepower. The Direct-Shift Gearbox 6-speed transmission, featuring an automatic dual-clutch system, is standard equipment.
How much, how soon? Coming in the early spring of 2011, with a price still hovering in the low $30,000 range.
How’s it look? Will appearance improvements be the light at the end of the tunnel for a car that can’t seem to pique the interest of buyers in the United States?
