Chevrolet Camaro Voted Hottest Car at the SEMA Show

General Motors brought the Chevrolet Camaro Red Flash concept, equipped with Chevy accessories, to the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS — Election night at the Specialty Equipment Market Association trade show here was not exactly a night of upsets. The voting for the show’s hottest car, truck and S.U.V. favored vehicles with a long history at the SEMA Show: the Chevrolet Camaro was selected the Hottest Car, the Ford F-Series the Hottest Truck and the Jeep Wrangler the Hottest 4×4-S.U.V.

“With more exhibitors showcasing their new products and styling trends on the Chevrolet Camaro, Ford F-Series and Jeep Wrangler, the SEMA Award winners are vehicles that consumers can confidently turn to for unlimited possibilities in personalization,” said Peter MacGillivray, a SEMA spokesman.

This year’s show features more than 1,900 companies, offering aftermarket products for existing vehicles. Products include those meant to enhance the styling, functionality, comfort, convenience and safety of cars and trucks. The inaugural awards identified the most accessory-friendly new models.

“A booth space is a ballot, and the models these exhibitors have selected represent their vote,” Chris Kersting, SEMA president and chief executive, said in a statement.
