SEMA Show 2010: European Tuners

The Old Continent brings to SEMA Show 2010 the most evocative of its car tuning ambassadors. As always, the European car tuners have done their best in order to display the most alluring products in a worldly important show.

Audi will participate at SEMA Show 2010 for the first time in the brand’s history. It is true that a lot of Audi’s models were present at the SEMA Show until now, but the Ingolstadt manufacturer has never officially taken part into the show. That is until now. The Germans will present six new models, most of them being equipped with various accessories released by the Audi dealers. Moreover, following the pure tradition of SEMA Show, the Ingolstadt manufacturers will arrive with a handful of modified cars.

After just hearing some rumors about the plans of the Stasis team for the fantastic Audi R8 Spyder, the tuners strike us with full details about their frenzied project. Oficially called STaSIS Signature Series Challenge Extreme Edition R8, the German super car is ready to glitter in Las Vegas, at SEMA Show 2010. The heart that beats in this red fireball is represented by a supercharged 5.2-liter V10 engine which develops 185 horsepower and 179 Nm of torque more than the standard version. Overall, the R8 Spyder created by the Stasis’s team offers to its driver 710 horsepower and 709 Nm. In addition, the super car reaches from 0 to 96 km/h in just 3.1 seconds. Maneuverability and the need for adherence have been improved by the 20-inch forged rims, wearing Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires, while the braking system is assured by large disks, 390 on the front side and 355 millimeters on the rear side. As a result, every part of the new STaSIS Signature Series Extreme Edition Challenge R8 looks great.

The British tuner Oakley Design, well-known for modifying the Porsche models, presented his latest project this time applied on a Ferrari 458 Italy.

Oakley Design Ferrari 458 is debuting at SEMA 2010 proposing a set of custom HRE Monoblock P402 rims and a 5% plus of power. Thus, instead of 540 horsepower and 567 Nm of torque, the Ferrari 458 Oakley Design Italy has 562 horsepower and 618 Nm of torque thanks to an ECU unit. Moreover, the new Oakley Design Ferrari 458 presents a series of aerodynamic improvements, such as a rear spoiler and a new diffuser. In terms of performance, the fireball accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 330 km/h.

There are also European participants at the SEMA Show 2010 who are coming to present safety systems or car parts and products such as: JOM Car Parts GmbH, ISSE Safety, AUTOGLYM and many others.

We are sure that the European tuners will not disappoint their public at SEMA Show 2010 and we expect to find out fresh news about the products displayed by them at the exhibition.

Even though SEMA could be considered an American’s show, because their tuning presence is staggering, the European tuners will always represent a dominating figure in the automobile industry.
