The Subaru Impreza design concept.
Introduced on Wednesday: Subaru Impreza Concept.
What is it? Subaru unveiled a new global design and brand strategy, “Confidence in Motion.” The concept car was there to punctuate the point.
What makes it tick? The all-wheel-drive concept is fitted with Subaru’s next-generation power train, a 2-liter naturally aspirated Boxer 4-cylinder, coupled with a Lineartronic CVT transmission. The 2011 Forester has a 2.5-liter variant of this engine.
How much, how soon? It’s a concept in motion. We should see other Subarus in the family influenced right away.
How’s it look? Elements of this sedan, like its aerodynamic lines and flair, could begin to appear as soon as the 2012 Impreza.
