Maranello, 16 November – After forty eight hours, the anger of the fans has made way for a feeling that there is a need to fight back and an awareness that one mistake cannot wipe all the good points of 2010. Understandably the first messages posted on the Internet or emailed to Ferrari were generally filled with deep disappointment for the bitter end to a season that was nevertheless unforgettable. Now, the mood is changing with more calls for a fight back, for the need to put the bitterness over Sunday’s events to one side and to start preparing as thoroughly as possible for the 2011 season.

The strength of the passion of the Ferrari fans is immense, as can be seen by flicking through the virtual pages at www.ferrari.com where some, like Redforever have even expressed there sense of sporting mourning through poetry.

You find yourself crying
When the memory is still in its infancy
as the pain is greater today than yesterday
one feels orphaned from a cherished dream,
wrapped in the pure fire of passion

You find yourself crying
Filling the void where should have been triumph
With a large yellow shield
With written by hand
“Forza Ferrari, always yours
tomorrow is already here
Redforever"

Asnaghimax opposes those who clamour for a change in the organisation: “no one should dismiss the fact that this year we kept a championship alive that by rights the all conquering Red Bulls should have tied up two months earlier. Alonso was superlative as was the whole team. Now, we just need to be stronger next year, starting with Massa returning to form. Anyone can make mistakes and, as real fans, we have to accept the disappointment and support the team, because it’s all too easy to point the finger, so it’s a case of Forza everyone, Forza Ferrari.

On insideferrari, the only genuined Ferrari page on Twitter, there have been so many tweets – suwi1 writes: “No matter what anyone says,i still love @InsideFerrari no matter how unhuman publicity they get,i'll stand by Ferrari, always.” Marcotessen adds: thanks for a splendid season and the thrilling fight back! In any case “…don’t mind them,” while Murcidoc has this to say: ““i'm falling in love with ferrari more and more. i really love you guys and i'm so proud of you. thank you. forza ferrari!”

Apart from the comments from the fans, so many Ferrari people, from Domenicali through the whole team, have received messages, not just from close friends, but also from others in the world of sport and entertainment and ordinary fans who just wanted to show their support for the Reds at a time like this. Even small signs like this all help to provide the energy needed to get going again. These are the people who make Ferrari something special.
