Brazilian GP - Alonso and Massa evaluate the situation

Interlagos, 5 November – The first free practice session has just ended at the Interlagos circuit, which this Sunday hosts the Brazilian Grand Prix, the eighteenth round of the Formula 1 World Championship. Quickest on the Paulista track was the Red Bull of Sebastian Vettel (1.12.328) ahead of his team-mate Mark Webber (1.12.810.) Third quickest was Lewis Hamilton in the McLaren in 1.12.845. Both Ferrari me did two runs in the opening ninety minutes, evaluating the situation on a track that is still very dirty. Fernando Alonso finished thirteenth in a time of 1.14.246, having driven 20 laps. An engine change is now planned on his car in order to allow for more running in the second free practice session. In the other F10, Felipe Massa was fourteenth, completing 26 laps, with work still to do to find the best set-up.

The second free practice session gets underway here at 14.00.
