A virtual overture
Sao Paolo, 3 November – This morning, the two Maranello team drivers went head to head around the Interlagos circuit, which hosts the eighteenth round of the Formula 1 World Championship. But this was not on the real track: instead they tackled it on a special simulator, developed by Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro’s official sponsor, Shell.
Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso took turns at the controls, demonstrating the characteristics of the Paulista circuit to a group of local media, to whom they also spoke about their experiences of this circuit located between two lakes, which hosts the big event on Sunday.
Felipe did best, as two short trips across the grass meant Fernando was unable to beat the time set by the Brazilian at his home track.
