Alain Prost believes Sebastian Vettel's world title will make the German a calmer driver.
Vettel snatched the world title by four points from Ferrari's Fernando Alonso at the final race in Abu Dhabi to become the youngest F1 champion.
However, with a number of incidents tainting his season, including his crash with team-mate Mark Webber at the Turkish Grand Prix, Vettel had been criticised for being too reckless.
But Prost believes Vettel will be a "quieter" driver now he has a title under his belt, and expects the German to continue to improve.
"Now he's got a title he's going to see things differently and he's going to be a bit more quiet sometimes," Prost said. "In different races maybe he'll get some more points. So I think he's going to be even stronger now."
When asked if Vettel could match his own tally of four world championships, Prost said: "I think so. He was quite exceptional."
