Webber 'stoked' with result

Mark Webber said he was 'stoked' for everybody involved with the Red Bull Racing team after his second place finish helped the team seal its first constructors' title.

"I have known a lot of them in Milton Keynes now for a long time and for them to be part of this amazing effort over so many years to come through and get the constructors' world championship is a phenomenal effort from them and also everyone that started the programme, Dietrich Mateschitz and everyone who has put everything into getting us up and racing against Ferrari and McLaren," said Webber. "At the end of the day we've beaten them fair and square. The rest can say what they want but we have the constructors at the moment and it is a very, very good achievement for the team."

Despite quickly finding his way past pole-sitter Nico Hulkenberg at the start, Webber was unable to match the pace of his team-mate and struggled with an overheating engine during the second half of the race. He now trails championship leader by just eight points heading to Abu Dhabi.

"Most of the races are decided as you know pretty much on Saturday or the first lap. In the old days you could change the strategy around change the fuel loads, look at going longer or shorter and having a bit of a play but that's not how it is now so fair play to Seb, he drove a good race and he won the race and we had to manage a few problems through most of the second part of the race.

"We had a very, very hot engine for some reason so we had to turn the engine down quite a lot and it was about really focusing on keeping Fernando out. The safety car pulled everyone back but it was a pretty straightforward grand prix and I am absolutely stoked for the guys and girls."
