GreenBkk Formula 1 | Senna axed by Hispania

Senna axed by Hispania

Hispania Racing team principal Colin Kolles has confirmed that Bruno Senna will not be racing for the team in the upcoming season.

The Brazilian was unimpressive during his debut season in Formula One, often overshadowed by the variety of team-mates who lined up alongside him.

The 27-year-old has paid the price for his failures, with Kolles confirming his exit.

"I can definitely say that Mr Bruno Senna is not going to race for HRT. 100 percent not," Kolles told Reuters.

On Friday, Hispania confirmed Narain Karthikeyan as one of their drivers for the 2011 season, but are yet to name the second half of their line-up.

Having parted ways with Hispania, Senna admits his chances of finding a driver for 2011 are not looking good.

The situation is a bit difficult in F1 right now," Senna told Reuters.

"I didn't really have the opportunity to show what I could do last year because of various problems and that didn't help me for this season.

"We are in talks for the few opportunities that are still open but I can't say it's very easy at the moment. Even Nico [Hulkenberg] is struggling to find a competitive seat.

"We may see some talents wasted because of the current situation. I hope I can take any opportunities that are available... you never know."
