Virgin announce Quantel as new partner
Marussia Virgin Racing have announced a new partnership with Quantel, a world leading developer of content creation systems, for the coming 2011 season.
Quantel aims to use its partnership with Marussia Virgin Racing as a platform to showcase its latest innovative QTube and Stereo3D technologies. QTube allows users to access and edit their assets from anywhere in the world and was recently described by one broadcaster as 'a real game changer'.
Marussia Virgin Racing and Quantel share a mastery of digital technology and use it to challenge conventional thinking to deliver innovative new approaches in car design and content creation.
As part of this new relationship, the Quantel logo will be displayed on the 2011 race car – which will be launched to the media next month – as well as on the team clothing, the race trucks, motorhome and web page.
"I am delighted to welcome Quantel to the Team as an official partner," said Graeme Lowdon, CEO of Marussia Virgin Racing.
"Quantel is a company that is passionate about creating solutions for its customers on a worldwide scale and we both have a shared commitment to excellence in technology. Quantel has pioneered many new technological advances and as Marussia Virgin Racing enters its second season of racing we hope that our own advances in technology provide the success that we aim for."
"Marussia Virgin Racing and Quantel share many values," added Ray Cross, Quantel CEO, "performance under the tightest deadlines, the crucial importance of team working and absolute demand for reliability. All these values are achieved by exploiting the latest technologies. We are excited to have the opportunity to partner Marussia Virgin Racing, and once again we're doing something unique in our industry - Quantel thrives on innovation."
