Visionary vehicle concept designer joins forces with HRT
World-renowned vehicle concept designer and visionary illustrator, Daniel Simon, has reached an agreement with HRT to create a dynamic new corporate image for the Spanish team as they enter their second Formula One season. Simon shot to prominence as the creator of automotive design book ‘Cosmic Motors’.
“Being offered a blank canvas by the Hispania Racing and with it the opportunity to bring to life elements of ‘Cosmic Motors’, was something I just couldn’t pass up,” said Simon. “It’s going to be an exciting journey as Hispania Racing evolves and grows and I’m looking forward to the challenge of creating a strong visual statement for the team.”
The young German has worked with companies including Bugatti, Honda, Puma and DKNY as well as several Hollywood studios. He was the vehicle concept designer for Walt Disney Pictures’ high-tech adventure film ‘TRON: Legacy’ and produced vehicle studies for the yet-to-be released Alien prequel.“Recruiting Daniel Simon to be in charge of designing the new corporate image of the team is great news for everyone,” added HRT team principal Colin Kolles. “Trying to find words to describe him would be simply to understate his achievements on Hollywood blockbusters.
