F1 wishes Kubica a speedy recovery
Well wishes are pouring in for Robert Kubica, with several of his F1 rivals wishing the Renault driver a speedy recovery.
Kubica remains in hospital after undergoing a seven-hour surgery to save his right hand, which was severally injured in a rally accident in Italy on Sunday.
At present, his doctors are cautiously optimistic about his recovery but admit it could take him up to a year to fully recover.
Already drivers have been visiting the Pole with Fernando Alonso reportedly paid a brief visit to the hospital late Sunday.
The Ferrari driver, a good friend of Kubica's, also posted well wishes on Twitter.
"Let's all support Robert Kubica, who suffered an accident," Alonso Tweeted. "Besides a great driver, he is a great person."
Virgin Racing's Timo Glock also posted a Tweet: "I'm thinking of Robert, wish him all the best and hope to see him soon on the track and especially off-track as a friend."
Rubens Barrichello said: "I would like to ask you for your best wishes to Kubica. We all like him and he deserves all the best."
