Four launches and a couple of laps
Four teams will be launching their 2011 challenges in Valencia today while three others will be running their new cars. Yes, it's the first day of pre-season testing.
Ferrari, who have already run a short run in their F150 while conducting a promotional filming shot, will be in action along with Renault and Sauber, both of whom unveiled their new cars at the Spanish circuit on Monday.
They will be joined on track by reigning World Champions Red Bull Racing, who will be taking the covers off their 2011 challenger this morning.
Mercedes GP, another team hoping to be fighting for the World title, will also hit the track in their new car along with Williams and Toro Rosso.
McLaren, who will only take the covers off their new car on Friday, are expected to use last year's MP4-25 as Gary Paffett works on getting the team up to scratch with the 2011 Pirelli tyres.
Hispania, Force India and Virgin are down to run while Team Lotus won't be in action until Wednesday.
Testing kicks off at 10am local time today and concludes at 5pm. However, for the remaining two days it will start at 9am.
