Geneva 2011 Live: Toyota and its eternal eco offensive

Japanese manufacturer Toyota has put on stage at Geneva Motor Show 2011 the new Toyota Yaris Hybrid Concept, a model which will debut in the next half year and. Also it should not be overlooked the pre-series version of Toyota FT-86 II and the Toyota Prius+.


As we have become accustomed in recent years, the Japanese at Toyota take the hybrids market by storm, and came to the Geneva Motor Show alongside the concept of Toyota Yaris HSD. The Japanese have the Hybrid Synergy Drive technology and its version number is expected to begin in the next six months.

Toyota star of this year’s stand in Geneva is the FT-86 II Concept. Toyota FT-86 II is closer to final version which will go into production in 2012. Toyota FT-86 II Concept has a Subaru boxer engine developed a manual transmission is paired with six reports.






The Toyota Prius+ is instead the version MPV 7 seater of Prius, already presented in Detroit under the name Prius V. Toyota Prius+ has the same mechanics of the Prius, with engine 1.8 to Atkinson cycle and an electric motor powered by lithium-ion battery, for a total of 136 hp. Final data from this model are still not yet been delivered.
