Italian GT – Two podiums for Ferrari at Misano

Maranello, 19 June – Ferrari came away from the third round of the Italian GT championship, run this weekend at Magione, with two second place. Sunday started with a victory in Race 1 for cars in GT2, GT3 e GT4, for the crew of Paolo Ruberti and Mario Cordoni (Autorlando Sport, Porsche 911 GT3 R, GT3), followed by Alessandro Cicognani- Dindo Capello (Audi Sport Italia, Audi R8 LMS, GT3) e Marco Bonanomi -Andrea Sonvico (Audi Sport Italia, Audi R8 LMS, GT3). In the GT2 class, second place for the Ferrari F430 GCT prepared by the Vittoria Competizioni which crossed the line behind the Porsche 997 of Victor and Giovanni Coggiola.

The final race saw the win go to the Audi in the hands of Sonvico and Bonanomi, who took the victory fighting off Cordoni and Ruberti, penalised for a mistaken driver change. Third place and first in the GT2 class went to Victor and Giovanni Coggiola (Porsche 997), while once again the second step of the class podium was occupied by the Vittoria Competizioni Ferrari, repeating its result from Race1.

The Italian GT Championship will be back on track on 17 July at the Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit at Imola.
