Antiques Roadshow follows this article

WHAT A RACE!!!!! I used to think Brazil 2008 was the best race ever for the sheer drama, now I'm not so sure. This is possibly the only clip left on Youtube with the ITV commentary.

Talking of commentary, a lot has been said about Brundle and Coulthard, personally, I believe its a great line up. They did a fantastic job during the red flag period in Canada, resorting to bird watching to a standard that wouldn't trouble Mr Attenborough. They also managed to spot the giant ship slowly going down the pit straight. OK it wasn't the pit straight but if you didn't know...

Fans of Antiques Roadshow were left disappointed as the only antiques they saw were Schumacher and De La Rosa. In fairness to those two they did drive exceptionally well, I'd of loved Schumacher to of been on the podium. Pedro also drove a good race in under the circumstances.

Under the spotlight again was Lewis Hamilton's driving style. Give the man a break. For sure (as the drivers say) he's having a tough time, but he pulled off a great move on Schumacher in Monaco aswell as Petrov. The Massa and Maldonado incidents he has to take the blame, but not for Massa crashing in the tunnel. The Maldonado move was very I'm-coming-through-or-you-will-crash. At the weekend he had another two incidents. Both of which were racing incidents in the conditions and in the dry would of come off. At the Cerals farming event the other day whilst I was waiting for my turn in a plastic Mclaren simulator, one observer noted "It must be Lewis', there is only half a car there." Harsh. Unfortunately the gears failed so I did not get a turn.

On a tangent briefly, its good to see Alan McNish and Mike Rockenfeller walk away unharmed after two monumental shunts at Le Mans.

So back to Canada. Eye catching drives from Kobayashi, Alguersuari, Liuzzi and Custard. But the star of the show was undoubtedly Button. Struggling to catch the pack after the Alonso Safety Car, he fought his way through the field and pressured Vettel into a mistake. Five hours after the BBC coverage started, the race had a conclusion.

Surely Jacques Villeneuve can't call that race boring.

P.S I couldn't write a blog about the Canadian Grand Prix without mentioning Renault's tea and biscuits and Mercedes' Gazebos on the grid during the red flag interval, or the clip everyone is loving
