In a fortnight’s time Jos Verstappen will be returning to the wheel of a Formula 1 car for a Red Bull demonstration at Zandvoort, former home of the Dutch Grand Prix.
“I’ll be driving the Red Bull in The Netherlands,” said the former podium finisher for Benetton. “They got in touch because of my son Max, who they are monitoring closely because of his karting performances. Of course, I couldn’t say no to the opportunity!”
Verstappen will be joined by HRT racer Daniel Ricciardo, part of the Red Bull Junior Team, who will be treating Dutch fans to a NASCAR demonstration run.
