Record crowds cheer Lewis and Jenson after Santander British GP
As we head to the Santander German Grand Prix, it was fantastic to see the huge support Lewis and Jenson received at the Santander British Grand Prix.
By far the dominant colour over the race weekend was Rocket Red, as tens of thousands descended on Silverstone to cheer us on. In fact, 315,000 fans attended over three days – a record crowd for the grand prix. The Sunday attendance record was also broken, with 122,000 present for the big race.
Some 22,000 fans stayed late on Sunday to show their support for Formula 1 at the Silverstone Grand Prix Party, and it was Lewis and Jenson who received the biggest applause as they made their way on stage.
We cannot thank you enough for your unwavering support for our team and drivers – we couldn’t be what we are without you.
