Mobil 1 chooses MTC for new programme launch

The McLaren Technology Centre was the venue of choice for this week’s launch of a new Mobil 1 initiative designed to boost business performance among UK car dealerships.

The Mobil 1 Business Performance Programme is a bespoke digital tool which allows UK car dealers access to specialist sales and marketing support as well as market-leading lubricants.

Seeing as the two companies share a closely aligned business ethos and both aim to maximise efficiency in everything we do, it was fitting for ExxonMobil to launch its programme at the MTC.

As a Formula 1 team we don’t just offer our partners the opportunity to increase their brand visibility on the world scale – we offer them a superb platform to build their current businesses.

ExxonMobil, a Vodafone McLaren Mercedes technology partner, has a long-standing and successful relationship with the team which is now in its 17th year. The renewal of the technology partnership in February represents an ongoing commitment to excellence and achievement by two global and like-minded organisations.

The world leader in synthetic lubricant technology is doing far more than supplying us with engine oils for Lewis and Jenson’s Formula 1 cars – it’s integrated in almost every part of our business.

ExxonMobil supplies us with a range of specialised lubricant products for use at the MTC, including high-performance cutting fluids used in race component manufacturing, Mobil SHC synthetic grease for our wind tunnel and Mobile Delvac 1 engine oil to help reduce fuel consumption and improve emissions of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes truck fleet.

In addition, Mobil 1 is the lubricant of choice for the MP4-12C road car and its MP4-12C GT3 racing derivative.
