Third-placed Mark claimed his fourth successive podium finish at the Nurburgring - his sixth for the season.
A dramatic head-to-head pitstop between Red Bull Racing and Ferrari in the final lap saw Seb take fourth place from Massa, who finished fifth.
The grand prix was won by McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton, with Fernando Alonso in the Ferrari second.
Behind Massa in sixth was Adrian Sutil, with Nico Rosberg, Michael Schumacher, Kamui Kobayashi and Vitaly Petrov completing the top 10.
