I DON'T THINK WE'RE IN BAD SHAPE

Paul completed his first day driving his Force India VJM04 racer at Spa-Francorchamps, in preparation for this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix. And the Scot — who was ninth-quickest in the afternoon, with a best time of 1min 51.751secs — admitted he was satisfied with the day's work despite the traditional Spa showers.
“Despite not completing a massive number of laps — I only did eight this morning and nine in the afternoon — I don’t think we’re in bad shape because I’ve managed to do running in both the wet and the dry.
"In the morning session I did laps on the intermediates and just made a small mistake towards the end of the session.
"During the lunch hour we took some precautionary steps and changed some parts on the car, which meant we were a little delayed getting out for the start of FP2. But I don’t think it cost us too much because we were on track when we needed to be and did the dry running.
"So I’m reasonably happy going into tomorrow, but it looks like this unsettled weather could hang around and make things tricky for the weekend.”
