AT&T Williams PR executive Sophie Eden was in pain this morning after being stung by a wasp. Luckily, she suffered no allergic reaction, but she got a reaction from the boys in the pit garage. She sent pulses racing when she tried to remove the insect from under her shirt and it was eventually the chivalrous Paul Bray who got the job done when he blew it away with a fan…
India has lost out to England in the F1 paddock as well as on the cricket pitch this month. Josi Kratochwil has joined our catering team from Force India for Spa and Monza and on the evidence of her first couple of days in the job, our gain is definitely Force India’s loss. Welcome to the team, Josi!
Another new face in the motorhome this weekend is Pastor Maldonado’s 13-year-old sister, Moira. She flew from Venezuela to Europe with Pastor at the end of the four-week break and given that this is her first visit to a race this year, let’s hope she brings her brother some luck!
It was the penultimate British press breakfast of the year today. As well as the usual crew, we were glad to welcome some of the team from Sky, who are making their first appearance at a race since gaining the rights to F1 in the UK from 2012. We hope our sausage, beans and mushrooms reminded you of home!
