Karthikeyan to get Friday outing at Suzuka
HRT’s Narain Karthikeyan’s preparations for his India race return will continue next weekend when he gets another Friday practice outing, this time at Suzuka ahead of the 2011 Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix. It follows his recent Friday appearance in Singapore.
Karthikeyan competed in the first eight rounds of 2011 for HRT before standing aside for Red Bull protege Daniel Ricciardo. However, the former Jordan driver will return to the grid with the Spanish team next month for his home race, the 2011 Formula 1 Airtel Grand Prix of India.
Karthikeyan will be at the wheel of Vitantonio Liuzzi’s #23 machine for Friday’s opening 90-minute session at Suzuka, before handing the car back to the Italian for the remainder of the weekend.
