All members of Formula One Teams’ Association (FOTA) were deeply saddened by the passing of IndyCar racing driver Dan Wheldon last Sunday.
Dan’s unique personality meant he was a friend to everyone in the racing community. He was a passionate competitor, a true racer and one of IndyCar’s greatest champions. He was highly regarded by all those in the industry, not least by the members of FOTA and many of the drivers all of whom believe that the world of motorsport will be a worse place without him.
FOTA would like to express its sympathy and sincerest condolences to Dan’s family, his friends and his fans in the motor racing world; a family in which he will be sorely missed.
