Sebastian has equalled Nigel Mansell’s record of the most number of poles in a season this evening in Abu Dhabi.
Our double world champion chalked up his 14th pole position of 2011 at the Yas Marina Circuit to equal Mansell’s 1992 feat.
Seb took P1 with a Q3 time of 1:38.481, while his team-mate Mark will start Sunday’s race fourth on the grid after setting a time of 1:38.858.
Splitting our drivers are the McLaren duo Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, in P2 and P3 respectively.
Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa, Nico Rosberg, Michael Schumacher, Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta complete the top 10.
