Sébastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari finished the final hour of free practice in what we still want to call “this morning” even though it began at 2pm local time.
Both drivers experimented with set-up changes as we prepare the STR6s for this evening’s qualifying battle. We expected to find life a little bit tougher here than in the last few races and that looks like being the case. Can we get into the top 10 on the grid again in tonight’s qualifying? It’s going to be tough. Working out how to set up the cars here is complicated by the fact you run free practice in the full heat of the day and have to evaluate how your car will work in much cooler air and track temperatures when qualifying starts at five in the afternoon at dusk, ending in darkness an hour later.
